About Me
Hi, I’m Jun Kim. I graduated in 2022 from Sydney Boys High School with an ATAR of 99.65 and a UCAT score in the 95th percentile. In my school, I ranked top 10 for both Extension 1 and Extension 2 Mathematics. I am currently studying UNSW Medicine.
However, I didn’t always use to be good at studying. I ranked 100th out of 208 people in Year 9 and when I told people that I would be in the top 40 the following year, they laughed and said it couldn’t be done. The very next semester, I achieved a rank of 36 and proved them wrong. I was able to continue these improvements until Year 12, where I ranked 6th in the Trial HSC.
So what changed?
I changed the way I studied. Firstly, I made sure to thoroughly understand every concept by going to my teachers during and out of class to discuss any questions I had about the material to build a strong foundation of knowledge. Secondly, I made sure to do as many exam-style questions as possible, and again I went to my teachers for help regarding any question I couldn’t solve.
So what does this mean for you?
I can teach you the ins and outs of how to study for the HSC that I learnt along my journey.
I offer in depth explanations that are easy to understand. This gives students a strong foundation of knowledge to build upon by doing additional exam style questions.
I offer 24/7 support. Students are free to stay back after class, text or email me anytime regarding any questions they might have and I will be sure to respond.
I offer personalised tips and tricks for how to study for exams and complete assignments. Having been through the HSC, I know what works and what doesn’t regarding exam study and assignment prep. I can give you tips on how to boost your extended response marks for chemistry and physics, as well as how to not lose a single mark from your working out for maths.
